The proliferation of highly polished timber and sweeping curves give this space an exceedingly masculine, almost nautical look. The latter is appropriate enough given the waterfront location, while the former… well, it is one of Brisbane’s best steak restaurants. That these people are passionate about beef is a massive understatement, to say the least. The separate steak menu is a lengthy ode to meat, including details on the weight, breeding and feeding methods of each cut, as well as tasting notes akin to those found on many wine lists. For those beef-heathens who can’t see what the fuss of a high-marbled grain-fed wagyu steak is all about, the main menu branches out to other types of meat, poultry and fish. Surprisingly, for such a temple to flesh, there’s also a thoughtfully crafted vegetarian menu.
